Easy Start: Fool-Proof Organic Germination To Give The Best Start To Your Cannabis Seeds
The Easy Start seed germination kit is a fool-proof, organic way to ensure successful germination. It is designed to help cultivators of all experience levels achieve the best results from the very beginning of their grow.
The Easy Start germination kit includes a growing tray with 20 individual pots that are pre-filled with soil, and a packet of Bacto—special seed-activating bacteria. These beneficial bacteria will help your seeds spring to life as they initiate the germination process. This way, the Easy Start kit can ensure maximum success.
How to Use the Easy Start Seed Germination Kit
- First, measure out 1 litre of lukewarm water (about 25°C) and dissolve the contents of the Bacto (activating bacteria) packet in it. Wait until the Bacto has thoroughly dissolved. Pour the Bacto mix into the Easy Start tray.
- Drop one cannabis seed into each pre-filled hole in the Easy Start pots. Use a pencil, a screwdriver, or something else pointy to gently push the seeds down about 5mm deep. Cover the seeds with some of the surrounding soil.
- Place the Easy Start kit in a warm location, but keep away from direct sunlight.
- If you’re using the Easy Start kit without the propagator from the Starter Kit, the pots of soil will dry out faster. It is therefore important that you keep the soil moist at all times. Touch the soil regularly to check whether it is still moist, and carefully spray some water when needed. Don’t let the soil dry out.
- Your seed will germinate within 3–7 days.
- You can germinate your seeds in the dark, but make sure to provide your seedlings with low to moderate light as soon as they emerge from the soil.
- Once the seedlings have reached a height of 2–3cm, you can re-pot the seedlings into the containers you plan to raise your plants to maturity in. For re-potting, slide the seedlings gently out of their plastic. You don’t need to remove the soil that sticks around the young plants—in fact, avoid doing so as this may damage the delicate roots. Simply drop the whole thing into whatever grow medium you’re using, and your cannabis plants are all set!
Easy Start vs Starter Kits
The Easy Start kit is optimal if you already have a Starter Kit, as our Starter Kits come with a propagator to control humidity. Although you can use Easy Start on its own, it is also included in our Starter Kits to make things as easy as possible. As such, Easy Start also works great as a replacement for part of your Starter Kit. Make note that the Easy Start also doesn’t come with any seeds, unlike our Starter Kits, which each come with 3 seeds. So if you’re looking for a more complete package where you can start growing some seeds right away, the Starter Kits may be your best option.
